Our Story
Clerestory Counselling was established to make it easier for people to access the life-changing benefits of counselling, either directly or through their employer. While many people think ‘I really need to talk to someone’, when they start trying to access counselling it quickly becomes confusing and difficult.

Clerestory Counselling aims to support people to access the right type of good quality counselling, with the reassurance of working with a company.
Clerestory Counselling is owned and run by Suzanne Kyle, a person-centred counsellor who believes that everyone should experience the transformational impact of a therapeutic relationship.

Our Name
Clerestory is a type of window that sits high up on a wall, often just below the ceiling or roof line, bringing light while maintaining privacy. This seemed like a good metaphor for counselling; illuminating your thoughts and feelings, safe in a confidential, private space. It’s also a play on the words ‘clear story’.
Counselling is often about clarifying the narrative or story of your life, figuring out what it means and what impact it has on you. We pronounce it ‘clear-story’, but you can pronounce it however you like!
